Sleep time

When should I go to bed?

Tell us when you need to wake up and see when to go to bed. Sleep is counted in 90-minute cycles.

What is a sleep cycle?

During sleep the body moves through light sleep, deep sleep and dream sleep again and again. One round lasts about 90 minutes on average, though it can be 70 to 120 minutes from person to person. So this is a rough guide.

Adults are generally said to need around 7 to 9 hours of sleep. Notice how much leaves you refreshed and go by that.

This is general information, not medical advice. If you have long-lasting trouble sleeping, talk to a doctor.
